Welcome
to the official website for the
St. Croix East End Marine Park (STXEEMP).
The Park represents the
culmination of forty years of
vision and three years of
collaboration between the
federal and local government,
non-governmental organizations,
business representatives and
other stakeholders to establish
a Marine Protected Area (MPA) on
the island of St. Croix.
Our Park encompasses a mosaic of fringing reefs, mangrove
forests, seagrass beds and nesting sites for endangered sea
turtles. Within the crystal-clear waters, sunshine illuminates
coral monuments and rainbow-colored fish, hidden just beneath
the surface.
It is our mission to protect this diversity and
beauty for generations to come. We invite you to dive into our
website and explore this beautiful place. Here you will find
more information on what marine protected areas do, marine park
programs, events and public notices, and more.
