Land Based Sources of Pollution
The
goal of the Land Based Sources of Pollution LAS is to
reduce nonpoint source pollutants in watersheds
contributing to the marine park The following projects
were selected to address these goals. Several projects
have been funded and initiated. Others have yet to be
funded and offer potential for collaboration or additional
initiatives.

Division of Coastal Zone Management (VICZM)

Assessment of major sources of sedimentation -
identification of unpaved roads –

historic data via core samples and correlate with
historic land uses

Analyze construction trends in watersheds on a yearly

Compile results of the previous 3 projects into a
layered GIS format to include meteorological data –
